Also don’t forget to finish your summer reading books, compare contrast graphic organizer and be ready to discuss them when we get back to school. We ask that supplies be purchased and ready for the first day of school. Students MUST have a pen and pencil EVERY day of school. You may want to buy extra items now when things are on sale and put them away for later. Filler Paper with 3-hole punched that can be inserted in your bindersĮach student needs to have these supplies ALL year.Five 1 ½ “ binders(one is for World Language).Dividers (4 for core subjects and 5 for World Language).Pens (Blue or Black Ink for assignments colored pens for correcting or editing ONLY).Pencils/Erasers (enough for entire school year).The 7th grade teachers have put together the following materials that students will need for classes this year. Please do at least three entries.and more if you want! Feel free to draw some pictures, too.ħth Grade Teams: Green, Purple, and Silver Especially look for ways that young people can make a difference in the world or grow and change as a person. Keep a journal while reading one of the books below. Remember to be polite, and feel free to add pictures to your letter. Be sure to ask questions and share your reactions to the main character’s experiences and share some information about yourself. Write a letter to one of the main characters. To accompany your reading, choose one of the following two options: Red, White, and Whole by Rajani LaRocca.Merci Suarez Changes Gears by Meg Medina.The Last Last-Day-of-Summer by Lamar Giles.The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (Young Readers Edition) by William Kamkwamba and Brian Mealer.I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up For Education and Changed the World (Young Readers Edition) by Malala Yousafzai.We are also including a few other books (including two graphic novels) about people who have shown bravery, overcome obstacles, or changed the world in some small way. ![]() We especially recommend you read I Am Malala or The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, as they are both great books with a powerful message.
